People have asked so many times if we have penguins or polar bears - here in Finland?
We don`t have penguins or polar bears even in Korkeasaari (name of Zoo in Helsinki). Penguins live almost exclusively in the southern hemisphere, especially in Antarctica. => South. Polar bears live more like in Canada, Russia and Greenland.

We have bears (=karhu), reindeer (=poro), moose (=hirvi), white-tailed deer (= valkohäntäpeura), lynx (= ilves), wolverine (=ahma), wolf (=susi), fox (=kettu) and so on. Our bear is brown and he has a lot of names. Otso, mesikämmen, nalle, kontio and many more.
Our only wild pinguin is ice cream brand. Valio Pingviini jäätelö. (Ice cream = jäätelö).
